Help the PWB Council
Give Back to the Community
The Professional Women in Building Council is accepting donations for the first annual Back-To-School Supplies Drive! Help the PWB Council give back to the community by donating new and unused school supplies to be distributed to students in need in local RGV districts. You may bring supplies to one of the following locations in the event flyer or contact PWB Council Chair Mary Ramirez or PWB Council Co-Chair Esther Guerra to arrange a donation pick-up.

The PWB Council is also accepting monetary donations to be used to purchase school supplies for students in need. Please contact PWB Council Chair Mary Ramirez or PWB Council Co-Chair Esther Guerra for more information about how to participate.

Donors will be recognized on the PWB Council web page. All donations must be received by September 15th, 2026 to ensure timely utilization for students.
Past Initiatives
The Professional Women in Building Council is proud to have contributed to the following charitable initiatives.
2025-2026
Rainbow Room
The RGVBA and PWB Council supplied toys, children's clothes and personal care items to the Rainbow Room in November of 2025. The Rainbow Room's mission is to serve as an emergency resource center supplying essential, brand-new items to children and youth entering protective care due to abuse or neglect.
Combat Veterans 23-15
The RGVBA and PWB Council facilitated the donation of $1,000 to directly support the Rio Grande Valley chapter of the Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association in November of 2025. Combat Veterans 23-15 is comprised of vets helping vets by providing support, meals, clothing, shelter, and camaraderie to veteran care facilities and local heroes.
Food Bank RGV
The RGVBA and PWB Council facilitated the donation of $1,000 to directly support the local food bank's operations in November of 2025. Food Bank RGV is passionately committed to improving lives through food assistance, nutrition education, and access to community services.
CTE School Donations
The RGVBA and PWB Council facilitated the donation of lumber and supplies with Matt's Building Materials and Builders FirstSource to aid the curriculum for valuable local CTE school programs, helping to make hands-on education accessible to prospective builders in CTE education and training.
The Rio Grande Valley Builder's Association encompasses Hidalgo and Starr Counties.
