When you submit an application through our enrollment form portal, we share it with our experienced Board of Directors to ensure that we can meet all of your needs as a business. You may receive a call during this time so that we can learn more about your goals and projects. Turnaround time for this process is quick; we are usually able to inform you of your acceptance status within a week of your application.
Once you have been accepted, you will be notified through email with an invoice to pay your membership dues and begin the process of finalizing your application. We may ask you to provide any missing information or clarifications.
After you pay your membership dues, you will be added to our email list and begin receiving news and information about the RGVBA, as well as invitations to member-exclusive events with opportunities for networking. You will always be able to reach out to us for any information about your membership at [email protected].
Membership with the Rio Grande Valley Builders Association is also a membership with the Texas Association of Builders and the National Association of Home Builders. Our state and national umbrella organizations provide our membership with access to member-exclusive perks that empower builders and associates at all levels. Your local HBA is your link to the state and national organizations.
You pay $624 for a year-long tri-membership. $179 goes to the Texas Association of Builders and $189 goes to the National Association of Home Builders. The Rio Grande Valley Builders Association keeps the remaining $256 to run the association and host local programs and events for our membership. You see your dues put to work at our association membership luncheons, workshops, mixers and massive events like our Member Golf Tournament and Parade of Homes. For a full explanation of how membership dues are used, you can contact us at [email protected].
Once it has begun, your membership ends the following year on the last day of the month for which you joined. For example, if you join on May 15th, your membership expires the following year on May 31st. We send reminders to our membership at the beginning of their final month so that they may renew their membership for the yearly cost.
Once your membership is finalized with us, we submit your enrollment form information to the Texas Association of Builders so that they can add it to their state database. We are able to view and share your PIN and subscription information with you within the first week of the following month. For example, if you finalize your payment in February, we will be able to provide you with your TAB access information in the first week of March.
We send welcome emails to our new members with the TAB login information and account creation link within the first week of the month following their payment. If you have any difficulties accessing your TAB benefits, we can help directly escalate your concerns to TAB staff. Let us know if your provided credentials are not working by emailing us at [email protected], and we will get you in touch with TAB support.
Once you have your login credentials, you may use them to access your TAB Member Benefits and NAHB Member Benefits.
